Graduate Medical Education

Centers of Expertise

The Centers of Expertise are innovative cross-specialty educational opportunities that complement clinical training by providing residents and fellows with exposure to four important areas of health care delivery: global and community health, health policy and management, healthcare quality and patient safety, and medical education.

Overview

Above all offerings of the Centers of Expertise (COEs), opportunities to network and develop a mentoring team are paramount. These opportunities are cultivated through evening sessions, opportunities to support trainee-initiated research, and courses. Learn more about each COE and their specific offerings.

Funded opportunities

The Centers of Expertise typically offer two funding cycles each academic year.

Learn more about funded opportunities on the GME SharePoint site (login required).

Courses available

The Centers of Expertise currently offers four courses. Information about each course can be found on the GME SharePoint site. The invitations to apply are emailed directly to trainees.

Please note that only trainees in GME-sponsored programs have access to the GME SharePoint site. If you need support accessing the site, please email Jean Tammaro .
