Patients who are eligible for One Care
What is One Care?
One Care is a MassHealth program for people under age 65 who have insurance through both MassHealth and Medicare. One Care offers insurance plans through Commonwealth Care Alliance and Tufts Health Unify. Individuals who choose to enroll in One Care would have one of these plans, instead of MassHealth and Medicare.
What do Partners HealthCare patients need to know about One Care?
Partners HealthCare primary care doctors do not accept One Care. That means if you enroll in One Care, and your primary care doctor is a Partners doctor, you will need to find a new primary care doctor.
However, Partners HealthCare hospitals and specialists are in the provider network for the Commonwealth Care Alliance One Care plan. That means that you may select the Commonwealth Care Alliance One Care plan and still have access to hospital and specialty care at Partners.
Partners HealthCare hospitals and specialists are NOT in the provider network for the Tufts Health Unify One Care plan. That means that you should not select the Tufts Health Unify One Care plan if you want access to hospital and specialty care at Partners.
