Gail M. Lowenthal

Gail Lowenthal is a Senior Program Administrator at Mass General Brigham. She manages all financial matters relative to the CQA professional staff and the corresponding research sponsored by internal and external sources. She provides complex and varied project management support regarding a wide range of activities for members within CQA as well as for the associated research group members. She oversees the operational and support functions of the CQA group and assists with projects and programs related to its successful operation. She recruits, screens and recommends candidates for employment to fill positions created when research funding is awarded. Additionally, she serves as web editor, content manager and developer for the Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Patient Safety Research and Practice, CQA and other grant-related websites.

Previously, Ms. Lowenthal worked in Finance at the Brigham and Women's Hospital for approximately ten years. Subsequently, she joined a wholesale hardware corporation as an accountant, and later became the company's first vice president. She improved order processing and decreased inventory discrepancies by devising and implementing a computerized product management database. She also created and implemented a strategic item locator system to increase productivity and reduce picking errors.
