The new Nantucket Cottage Hospital opened its doors today.

As the first new medical facility on the island in more than 60 years, the community hospital offers enhanced access, safety, and privacy for patients, with expanded outpatient services and inpatient capacity.

The new facility will meet hurricane design features and will be certified as a LEED Gold v4 building for resiliency and sustainability.

Thanks to an unprecedented $120 million capital campaign, the new hospital was built entirely through private donations, debt-free, and with no taxpayer dollars.
