Massachusetts General Hospital received a $200 million endowment, the largest donation in the hospital’s history.

Thanks to Phillip T. (Terry) and Susan M. Ragon, the contribution will support the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard, aimed at collaborative research to prevent and cure disease. The Ragon Institute has developed a HIV vaccine, currently being trialed in Africa, as well as advanced research in influenza, tuberculosis, Zika, and neurodegenerative diseases.
