Two young women at the Brockton Neighborhood Health Center are helping patients access services and getting a chance to learn more about careers in health care. Both women are part of the HealthCorps Navigators program, an initiative running since 2004. The program places high school students and college graduates at community health centers where they get a chance to work on various projects to promote health education, patient outreach, and patient access. The HealthCorps Navigators also benefit the health centers by allowing nurses and doctors to concentrate on seeing patients, as the Navigators take on non-clinical tasks.

Partners HealthCare, along with the Mass League of Community Health Centers, funds the HealthCorps Navigator program.
