The American Nurses Credentialing Center recognized Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH) for nursing excellence and high-quality patient care. BWFH received Magnet(R) status, which is a designation awarded to institutions whose nursing strategic goals improve patient outcomes.

BWFH is the 500th hospital to reach Magnet status. Only 8% of hospitals in the country have achieved this recognition.

In 2003, Massachusetts General Hospital became the first hospital in the state to be awarded Magnet designation. Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in 2016 and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2018 also were awarded Magnet status.
