The Commonwealth Institute and the Globe Magazine named the most noteworthy, women-led companies, including health care organizations, retailers, construction companies, and other institutions.

Among them were Brigham Health, led by Betsy Nabel, which ranked 9th in a list of 100 companies. Partners Community Physicians Organization, led by Lynn Stofer, ranked 31st.

This is the 19th year The Commonwealth Institute has compiled the list. The Commonwealth Institute says it supports female business leaders and looks at the companies’ operating budget and revenue, number of employees, diversity, and other innovations.
