BWH Housestaff Quality & Safety Council
"Residents and fellows must play a critical role in improving patient safety and healthcare quality at our institutions. The skills they learn and apply during training to improve patient safety and healthcare quality will benefit patients they care for now as well as those they care for in the future." - Dr. John Co, MD, MPH, GME Director
Any BWH Resident or Fellow who has an interest in quality improvement can join us at the HQSC meetings, offer suggestions on new initiatives to pursue, or find out more about housestaff QI resources by emailing us. The HQSC works closely with the BWH Directors of Q&S Committee and BWH Q&S leadership on hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient safety and the quality of care at BWH. Funding for housestaff-led Q&S projects is also available through the Mass General Brigha Healthcare Centers of Expertise.
