Facilities and Equipment:

The Flow Cytometry resources of the Ragon Institute Imaging Core are housed on the 5 th floor of Building 149, 13 th Street, in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Analysis Cytometers:

  • 5 Laser LSR Fortessa with 355, 405, 488, 561, and 640 excitation lines and the HTS option for acquiring from 96 well plates.
  • 4 Laser LSR2 with 355, 405, 488, and 633 excitation lines
  • 4 Laser LSR2 with 355, 405, 488, and 640 excitation lines
  • 3 Laser LSR2 with 405, 488, and 633 excitation and HTS option for acquiring from 96 well plates.
  • 2 laser FACSCalibur with 488 and 633 excitation lines

Additional Equipment:

  • 3 laser FACSAria cell sorter with 405, 488, and 633 excitation housed within a BL2 biosafety cabinet for sorting of human and infectious samples. The sorter is run by core personnel only, and no training is provided in its operation.
  • Biacore 3000 for label-free interaction analysis.
Services:

We provide training in the use of flow cytometers and assistance in the development of panels and experiment design, as well as access to advanced flow cytometry equipment. Our training program consists of an Introduction to Flow Cytometry seminar offered every 6 weeks, an instrument orientation, and then hands-on training in the proper operation of the equipment
