The Confocal Microscopy Core provides access and assistance in the use of confocal microscopy with additional capabilities in live-cell imaging and photobleaching studies.

Location of the Core: The facility is located at One Jimmy Fund Way, Smith Building, Room 630, Boston. Major Equipment: Nikon TE2000-U inverted microscope with a C1 Plus Confocal System outfitted with 3 excitation lasers, a high resolution CCD camera with 4 excitation filters, and DIC/Nomarski optics. A microscope incubator with CO2 is available for live-cell imaging.
