The Partners Center for Drug Discovery (PCDD) was established in 2006 to maximize the value and impact of translational discoveries that are made in the Partners Hospitals. PCDD is a center for drug discovery that consists of a collection of proprietary and non-proprietary drug-like molecules, a high throughput screening facility that can screen these molecules in biochemical and cellular models of disease, and medicinal chemistry resources for compound optimization. The primary goal of PCDD is to advance Partners research from target identification through to proof of efficacy in animal models of disease. The PCDD is based on the successful Laboratory of Drug Discovery in Neurodegeneration (LDDN), the drug discovery facility established in 2001 as a key part of the Harvard NeuroDiscovery Center. PCDD is located in the Partners Research building at 65 Landsdowne Street, Cambridge, MA. To discuss potential projects with PCDD please contact one of the Co-Directors, Marcie Glickman who oversees assay development and screening (e-mail: mglicksman@rics.bwh.harvard.edu; tel: 617-768-8661) or Greg Cuny who oversees medicinal chemistry (e-mail: gcuny@rics.bwh.harvard.edu; tel: 617-768-8661).
