SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY

Employees must arrive for work in a condition free from the influence of alcohol and drugs. They must remain free of this influence while they are on the job and refrain from their use, possession, manufacture, distribution, dispersion and sale on hospital property. Partners maintains an Employee Assistance Program which provides help to employees who suffer from alcohol or drug abuse. Employees are encouraged to seek assistance from this program.

Violation of this policy may result in corrective action in accordance with the Bylaws of the Professional/Medical Staff and any other governing documents. The full text of the policy is available from Human Resources or from your program administrator. A copy of this policy is distributed at trainee orientation.
