Clinical & research applications

The primary applications for clinicians/researchers at MGH/BWH are: CAS, LMR, and RPDR.

CAS is available from a Partners build workstation as well as from non-Partners build PC's and Macs using the Partners Portal.

LMR is available from a Partners build workstation via the START menu as well as from non-Partners build PC's via the Partners Portal. Mac users who need access to LMR should email us at rcc@partners.org for information on two "work arounds" provided as a courtesy. Please note that neither work around is a completely reliable solution. For best reliability, use a PC for LMR.

The RPDR is available from a Partners build workstation as well as from non-Partners build PC's and Macs using the software, Citrix.

To access CAS, LMR and RPDR from a non-Partners build PC or CAS and RPDR from a Mac:

In-hospital, you need:

  1. to have a Partners login
  2. permissions to access the applications for LMR that includes an additional permission to access over the Internet. Call the Help Desk and ask for "LOTI permission" (LMR over the Internet)
  3. Mac users: important information for accessing Partners applications.

From home or other remote location, you need:

  1. to have a Partners login
  2. permissions to access the applications
  3. VPN permission and software, apply online for VPN (internal only)
  4. Mac users: important information for accessing Partners applications.

For permission to access CAS/LMR: You need authorization to use CAS from a qualified authorizer in your department. (internal only).
