BWH Research Email

BWH Research sponsors a series of research email lists for the BWH research community. With this new system, you can choose to receive the information of greatest interest to you. Currently, there are five basic email categories: (1) general research announcements (The Research Connection ), (2) funding and grant opportunities, (3) notices for the postdoctoral/research fellow community or for principaI investigators/research faculty, (4) notices for clinical researchers, and (5) subject specific notices corresponding to specific BRI research centers and programs.

By default, you are subscribed to the General Research Announcements Email (formally the RICS listserv) which will continue to be distributed twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is recommend that you receive the General Announcements email, as the information within will be relevant to the majority of the BWH research community. To add one of the other mailing lists to your profile, update your BWH Research Email Profile . If you are not subscribed, create your Email Profile.

MGH Research Email

This list has been developed as a vital communication tool for research.  Messages sent to the list will only contain information pertinent to research.

Everyone involved in research at MGH: PI, post docs, technicians, and administrators, is included in this list.  In the future we will be able target messages to specific sub groups such as PI’s, or labs in a particular building.  Therefore, messages will be sent only to the relevant audience, eliminating the need to read messages that don’t apply to you.

You can manage your profile on this list through a web browser. You can:

• subscribe to the list yourself; login to the subscribe page below using your Partners username and password
• edit your profile, including your preferred e-mail address by clicking on the link at the bottom of every message that you will receive
• find old messages by clicking on the archive link at the bottom of every message that you will receive
• view available distribution lists at the listserv web site

This tool is also available to departments that want to set up and manage their own distribution lists. 

Special Interest Discussion Listservs for Research

The Simches Computer Users Group (SCUG) Discussion list:

The Simches Computer Users Group is the first research-related listserv to be offered by Partners Research Computing. It will be an open forum for discussing computer-related events and issues for users located at the Simches Research building,185 Cambridge St., Boston, MA.  We will be covering updates and happenings about the Simches Data Center, the Partners Network, the Research Cluster Computing and more.  This group will try to meet in person once every two months.
