PeopleSoft Issue & Fix: Firefox 2.0 for both Mac & PC

Issue:

Note that the Partners PeopleSoft sites: HR Self-Service (iBridge) and eBuy located at https://ibridge.partners.org will not work in the Firefox 2.0 browser for Mac or PC. This is because Firefox 2.0 uses SSL 3 and the servers hosting PeopleSoft use SSL 2

Fix courtesy of Chris Gibbs:

1. In the address bar of Firefox, type in about:config
2. There should be a long list of advanced options.
3. In the Filter line type in 1024
4. There should be 2 choices left [see below]
5. Double-click each one, to change the value field to true
[There is no save button, the change takes affect imediately]
6. Now when you go to http://ibridge.partners.org/ you should be forwarded to the login page.

Mac users can also access both via Citrix and the MacGateWay. Send an email to rcc@partners.org and request permission to "Citrix - PHS-MacGateWay". When permission is granted a red apple icon titled "MacGateWayHome" will appear in your Citrix Applications window. Click on it and a list of links will appear including both PeopleSoft applications. Click on the link and authenticate to the application.
