Sonjii Kinch - Brigham and Women's Hospital
Sonjii Kinch is a Clinical Secretary in the GI Practice at BWH. She is responsible for taking phone calls and setting up appointments for patients and checking in patients. She found out about PCWD through an email that was sent system-wide advertising career development opportunities. Sonjii graduated from the ABCD College Pathways program in June 2006 and received a $1000 scholarship to continue her education. Robin Volante - Brigham and Women's Hospital (Sonjii's Manager)
Robin Volante is the Practice Manager in the Gastroenterology (GI) Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She has been at BWH for 3 years and prior to that worked many years as an administrator at other healthcare organizations. The GI department is one of the busiest practices at BWH; they average 5500 phone calls per month. Robin has 12 employees reporting to her and she recognizes that the positions in her department are entry level. She fully supports and encourages her employees to learn as much as possible in the position, progress and work hard to develop themselves so that they can attain new skills and further their career development. Hilda Hernandez - Massachusetts General Hospital
Hilda Hernandez has been working as a Patient Transport Associate at Mass General Hospital for 4.5 years and is originally from Columbia, South America. As a Patient Transport Associate, Hilda is responsible for moving patients from their rooms to Radiology, or other procedure areas and picking up specimens and delivering them to the clinical labs. Krys Klincewicz - Massachusetts General Hospital (Hilda's Manager)
Krys Klincewicz has been working at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Material Management Department for 15 years. Krys started as a Patient Transport Associate shortly after arriving in the United States. He enrolled in the MGH ESOL class immediately and was one of the graduates of the first ESOL class at MGH. Krys has worked his way up to a Supervisor in the same department and now has 140 direct reports. Read more...
Norma Abdullah - Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital

Norma Abdullah has been working in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital for over 10 years. She started as a secretary in the department and was promoted to Administrative Assistant. She supports 5 physicians in the department. For the last two years Norma has been working towards her Associates degree in nursing as part of the Create-a Nurse Program at Spaulding. Mike Sullivan - Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (Norma's Manager)
Mike Sullivan is the Department Administrator for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Spaulding. He has been as SRH for 6 years and prior to that spent many years in other health care facilities as an administrator. Mike feels that one of his responsibilities as a manager is to help his employees continually improve and have a sense that they are bettering themselves in an effort to move up. “It is a two way street”, says Mike. “It makes my life easier to boost morale in the department.
