Program Description
Partners Career and Workforce Development (PCWD) offers a 6 week job readiness
training program with Partners HealthCare (PHS). The program includes 3.5 weeks
of classroom instruction that focuses on understanding the PHS system, customer
service skills, resume writing, interviewing skills and a 2.5 week internship
in a basic clerical or support staff position. PCWD provides case management,
career coaching, and job placement assistance and support after successful
completion of the program.
Who should apply?
PCWD is designed for individuals who are interested in entry-level employment
within one of the Partners hospitals. PCWD is an unpaid training program and
participants must be able to attend the training Monday � Friday, 9am to 5pm.
All successful graduates of the program must actively participate in job search
activities. Graduates who obtain employment at Partners will receive long-term
follow-up to help gain further education, skills training and career
advancement.
Program Requirements:
All applicants must:

Be at least 18 years old and have a professional attitude

Have a high school diploma or equivalent

Pass assessments in reading, writing and computer skills

Successfully complete CORI screening (Criminal Offender Record Investigation)

Provide a reference of 1 full year of steady employment (Former Partners
employees are not eligible for this program)

Speak, write and understand English

Be able to work full-time and complete 90 day probationary period

Be eligible to work in the United States
