When are the Open Houses scheduled?
- Open houses are scheduled on the first and third Friday of every month from 9:30am sharp - 1:30pm. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
Where are the Open Houses held?
- Open Houses are held at Project Hope located at 550 Dudley Street in Roxbury. You can reach Project Hope by the #15 Bus from the Ruggles stop on the Orange Line or the #41 bus from JFK on the Red Line. For driving directions, visit www.prohope.org/directions.htm
How do I register for an Open House?
- Step 1: Please review our requirements to make sure you are eligible for the program.
- Step 2: If eligible, complete the Open House Registration Form or call 617-585-2850 and leave your full name, zip code, phone number, and the Open House date you plan on attending.
- Step 3: After your have completed the on-line form or left a voicemail message, you are registered and confirmed for the Open House.
What if I have registered for an Open House but no longer can attend?
- Please call (617)585-2850 or email jobtraining@partners.org no later than 24 hours prior to the Open House to cancel your registration.
- If you would like to re-register, please leave the required information on the recording or in the email and state the date of the Open House you wish to attend.
Can the Open House be cancelled?
- Yes. The Open House will be cancelled if the Boston Public Schools are closed due to a weather emergency or holiday. You would need to re-register for the next upcoming Open House.
Do you provide childcare at the Open House?
- No, Project Hope does not provide childcare at the Open House. Please make childcare arrangements.
What happens at the Open House?
- From 9:30am-11:00, we review the requirements of the Partners HealthCare Training and Employment program and will answer all questions.
- From 11:15am-1:15pm, you will complete assessments ( Reading, Language, and MS Word ) and complete a program application.
How should I prepare for the Open House?
- Please bring all former employment information and contact information for the employer who will verify your one-year employment. Be prepared to fill out a program application.
- Please come professionally dressed.
- Please be on time. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
What happens after I attend the Open House?
- Approximately one week after the Open House you attended, we will call you to inform you of your assessment results.
- If you have passed the assessments and meet the basic eligibility requirements, you will be scheduled to take an online assessment in basic office skills, writing, and Microsoft Word.
- If you then have passed the online assessment, you will be scheduled for an intake with the Project Hope case manager and then may be scheduled for an interview with Partners HealthCare.
What happens if I do not pass the assessments?
- If you do not pass the assessments, we will assist you in finding a more appropriate program or refer you to a Career Center.
