Mission and Goals
|
The mission of PHS Research Management is to support research and the translation of Partners Healthcare science to the patient bedside by:
» Providing service and support to investigators
» Protecting subjects
» Ensuring compliance with requirements of Partners and sponsors
In keeping with this mandate, Partners Clinical Research Office (PCRO, formerly known as Corporate Sponsored Clinical Research):
» Develops, negotiates and executes agreements and budgets for industry-sponsored clinical research
» Prepares Medicare coverage analyses (MCA) for all clinical trials
» Prepares and submits Category B Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) petitions to Medicare
» Provides contracting services to specialized research service facilities (also known as “recharge centers” or “core facilities”).
We are committed to quality improvement - refining and enhancing our services so that they are high-quality, timely and cost-effective for investigators, administrators and sponsors.
PCRO works closes with colleagues in:
» MGH and BWH Grants and Contracts and Research Finance to ensure that investigators are provided with an integrated and seamless panel of services across Research Management.
» MGH and BWH Offices of Corporate Sponsored Research & Licensing (CSRL) to manage issues related to intellectual property, licenses, patents and know-how.
» PHS Human Research Committee (PHS Institutional Review Board)
» PHS Office of General Counsel.
