Esophageal Cancer
At the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)
a new approach to treating esophageal cancer involves a combination
of radiation therapy, chemotherapy and esophagectomy. In this video,
surgeon Cameron Wright performs an Ivor Lewis esophagectomy
followed by an anastomosis on a patient who developed gastroesophageal
cancer after suffering from gastroesophageal reflux.
