Each year thousands of patients come to Boston from around the world for specialized medical care. Partners HealthCare International provides seamless referral services to five Harvard-affiliated teaching hospitals.
The member hospitals of Partners HealthCare are recognized worldwide for expertise in diagnosing and treating patients with complex diseases. Partners HealthCare International establishes referral relationships with health care institutions and referring physicians, and respond to the needs of individual patients who contact us directly. The hallmarks of our approach to international care coordination are:
- Pre-travel medical reviews to validate appropriate referral decisions
- Timely exchange of medical records to avoid duplication of diagnostic testing
- Efficient coordination of specialty appointments and post-surgical care to minimize hospital stays in Boston
- Direct communication and follow-up with referring physicians upon completion of treatment in Boston

To Request Special Services for Business Executives:
Fitting proper health care into a busy schedule can be challenging for executives, international travelers and global families. Our Executive Health Program provides patients with a full complement of preventive health services, often within a single day. These services include:
- A complete physical examination (or “check-up”) based upon age, gender and medical history
- A personal consultation with a board certified internist
- A selection of diagnostic studies and tests, customized to address individual risk factors and detect early manifestation of disease
