Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre
The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre (BCHC) was formed in 1945 to assist patients with tuberculosis. Today the organization continues to expand its role to address prevention and early detection of major health concerns such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, skin cancer, lung disease, and other health issues that affect the community.
Partners assists the BCHC by providing informational resources for patients and families with cancer; lectures by renowned cancer specialists; support for the Association's efforts to raise public awareness, and programs to encourage early detection of cancer.
For more information or questions regarding the BCHC, please contact Leslie Shane, Partners' Bermuda representitive.
Seoul National University Hospital
Partners International consummated a formal relationship with Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) Healthcare System in April 2005. Our initial collaboration has been structured in the form of Partners Premiere Program Affiliation Agreement with a division known as the Gangnam Center.
Opened in 2003, Gangnam Center is a new division of Seoul National University Hospital that provides diagnostic and preventive care. Such care is not covered under the national insurance plan; so care is personally funded and service delivery is consumer-driven.
Gangnam Center offers a state-of-the-art facility and "one stop shopping" for virtually all diagnostic services, including MRI, PET, CT, and Upper GI Endoscopy. The Gangnam Center has been extremely successful and it serves a broad array of clients who are proactive about managing and protecting their health.
Gangnam Center offers a comprehensive program, called Partners Premiere CEO, that includes diagnostic screening, preventive care, physician specialist visits, health promotion and chronic condition management services as well as core Partners Premiere service features. Clients elect to enroll for a minimum of a year.
SNUH and Partners are exploring broader collaboration in the areas of genetics and genomics, remote health care management as well as research and education.
SRM University, Chennai, India
Partners is currently working with SRM University in Chennai to improve medical and nursing practices in emergency and trauma services. Recommendations have been made identifying specific training, staffing and organizational measures needed to establish a Level Three Trauma Center, progressing to Level Two. SRM physicians and nurses will also work within the emergency departments at BWH and MGH to observe best practices and develop collegial relations that will enable on-going communication to occur. In subsequent years, similar upgrade efforts will be undertaken in other medical and surgical specialties.
