The Partners Health Care System is a rich environment for training the next generation of heart failure clinical investigators. Close proximity of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital and the strong collaborative relationships between investigators and clinicians enhances the growth and development of newly trained investigators to the necessary level for research independence.

Trainees acquire the skills necessary to perform clinical and translational heart failure research as a life long endeavor. Skills include core principles of investigation as well as those skills necessary to be successful in academic medicine. Candidates also acquire information relative to special topics appropriate for clinical investigators in the 21st century.
