The Partners Health Care System is a rich environment for
training the next generation of heart failure clinical investigators.
Close proximity of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and
Massachusetts General Hospital and the strong collaborative
relationships between investigators and clinicians enhances
the growth and development of newly trained investigators
to the necessary level for research independence.
Trainees acquire the skills necessary to perform clinical
and translational heart failure research as a life long endeavor.
Skills include core principles of investigation as well as
those skills necessary to be successful in academic medicine.
Candidates also acquire information relative to special topics
appropriate for clinical investigators in the 21st century.
