Partners Handbook is a web-based point of care access to clinical knowledge resources for use by Partners HealthCare System clinicians for patient care, research, and education. It is on the Intranet and is accessible to anyone with authorization to use the Partners network.

Partners Handbook contains a variety of electronic resources from both internal and external sources. Internally created content includes numerous articles, guidelines, manuals, Patient Education Information, clinical calculators and documents written by Partners clinicians on a variety of medical topics.

Types of external resources licensed from vendors include:

Medical search engines

Full text journals and eTextbooks

Pharmacologic information including complimentary/alternative/ natural medicine

Evidence-Based clinical information resources

Medical Calculators

Many of these clinical references are also used by Partners KnowledgeLink application that allows direct access to context-sensitive information.

Partners Handbook is available off the Start Menu on all Partners computers. It is also available within clinical applications for use at the point of care. Partners Handbook has a broad user base and is accessed over 100,000 times each month.
