The BWH Backup Child Care Center is open to the children and siblings of BWH Patients.

Patients are eligible to use the program only while attending an appointment at BWH.

• Children between 8 weeks and 12 years old may enroll at the Center.
• Reservations for care can be made by calling the center Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 5:45pm, or by leaving a voice message after hours.
• Reservations may be made up to one month prior to the date care is needed as well as on the day that care is needed.

When making reservations you will be asked for:

• Name of the department where the patient is receiving care
• Child's name
• Child's age
• Date care is needed
• Hours of care needed (minimum 2 hours)
• Time care is needed (for example, 9:00am to 5:00pm)

The BWH Backup Child Care Center is located at 850 Boylston Street in Brookline. The Backup Center accepts children of BWH employees and BWH patients between the ages of 8 weeks and 12 years.

The Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am - 5:45pm. The cost is $6.00/hr per child with a minimum stay of two hours.

We maintain a nut-free environment, and do not provide care for children who are ill.
