The Business Development team draws on the considerable intellectual property assets and strategic initiatives of two of the largest academic medical centers in the country. Combined, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital have approximately $1 billion in research expenditures, and have a portfolio of approximately 1,000 active cases available for licensing. Each year, these hospitals generate approximately 400 new invention disclosures, and patent applications are filed on about half of them.
