Carol Sim is President, Chief Executive Officer, and Nurse Executive
at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands (RHCI), having
joined RHCI as a member of its start-up team in 1995. Carol was appointed
CEO in September 2003 after serving as Vice President of Clinical
Services for seven years.
Prior to arriving at RHCI, Carol served as CEO of a visiting nurse
association in Connecticut and as a director in the hospital administration
at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Carol’s clinical experience is in
rehabilitation nursing, having graduated from Columbia University’s
School of Nursing. She also holds a Master’s degree in Health
Policy and Management from Columbia University.
Carol currently serves on the board of the Cape Symphony Orchestra
and is vice president of the Consumer Assistance Council. Previously
she served as treasurer of the Community Leadership Institute, and
won their Cape Cod Leader of the Year award in 2005.
