About Partners Community Benefit Programs

Since its inception in 1994, Partners HealthCare has continued and expanded the long tradition of community commitment that is at the heart of each of its institutions. Focusing on their specific communities and populations, each hospital’s commitments are consistent with the system’s community benefit mission, adopted by the Partners Board of Trustees in January 1995:

Partners is committed to working with community residents and organizations to make measurable, sustainable improvements in the health status of underserved populations.

Partners not only has a commitment to long term organizational and financial investment in programs, but also to a deep engagement with communities to listen, learn, and continuously improve our work together.

2007 Health and Fitness Expo

In an effort to improve the health of the community, Partners HealthCare partnered with NBC7/CW56 to host the first Health and Fitness Expo in Boston. The expo featured health screenings, physician speakers, medical simulations, celebrity guests and much more. More than 70,000 people attended this free, two-day event.
