The Partners HealthCare Center for Personalized Genetic Medicine (PCPGM) is conducting a MedSeq clinical trial, using whole genome sequencing to better understand patients’ potential risk of disease.

Partners HealthCare is one of the first hospital systems to offer physicians and patients whole genome sequencing, comprehensive genomic-information gathering that can help predict diseases and guide treatment of commonly inherited disorders.

The MedSeq project will include about 200 patients, whose genomic information will be connected to their medical records. PCPGM’s genome sequencing service incorporates rigorous clinical interpretation and analysis to guide clinical care.
