Partners HealthCare is entering into its second year of commitment to the Open Circle program, which encourages social and emotional learning among elementary- and middle school-aged children enrolled in Boston Public Schools. In its first year, the program reached nearly 3,500 students. The program's administrators hope to reach 7,000 students in total. The curriculum teaches children to recognize the complexities of social interactions and experiences, and how that can affect their and other kids' emotions.
