Partners HealthCare was one of the earliest adopters of health information technology in the nation. Our electronic medical record system, the Partners-built Longitudinal Medical Record, is used by 100% of our primary and specialty care physicians. The electronic medical record supports communications among providers.
Patients can access their own medical records through our patient portal, called Patient Gateway. And, patients will find that their prescription information can be transmitted electronically to the pharmacy, using a process called e-prescribing.
