Actions or Items Requiring GME Office Input
Any program changes requiring ACGME and GMEC approval should be submitted to the GME accreditation staff. Programs must contact one of the Directors of Graduate Medical Education before:
- putting a resident on probation,
- requesting a delay of a site visit,
- recruiting trainees for a new GME program, and
- recruiting ECFMG trainees for a non-ACGME program that was never approved by the Partners Education Committee
All matters regarding GME programs should be referred to the GME Director assigned to each specialty.
All matters requiring prior GME Committee approval need to be submitted to Diane Sheehan (MGH programs) or Irina Knyshevski (BWH programs). For the necessary documentation please see GME Committee Oversight.
