The Resident/Fellow as Teacher Award
The award is given to a resident or fellow who has demonstrated a passion and talent for teaching, and who has made a significant contribution to the learning of others.
Eligibility: Appointed during AY 2010-2011 as a resident or fellow in any GME program sponsored by one of the PHS hospitals.
Nominations should include the following:
Required:
- at least one and no more than three letters from students, residents, or fellows.
- letter from the Program Director or Department Chair or Division Chief.
Optional:
- letter from one or more faculty that have observed the nominee’s teaching
Nominations should illustrate the ways in which the resident/fellow is an effective teacher and how his/her particular interest and dedication in this area are demonstrated.
Nominations for all awards should be forwarded electronically to Jean Tammaro by Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
