Forbes list of America's Best Employers
Forbes ranked Partners HealthCare on its list of America's Best Employers in 2016, Partners' second year in a row appearing on the list. In 2016, Partners was ranked 24 on the total list, up from 45 in 2015, and 6 on the list of 'healthcare and social employers.' All companies featured in the survey have 5,000 or more employees, and the independent survey was conducted by polling 30,000 American employees.
Partners' ranking was based on responses from employees of the Partners HealthCare system, including its member hospitals.
Healthcare Equality Index 2016
Four Partners HealthCare hospitals have been named as 2016 Leaders in LGBT Healthcare Equality by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Newton-Wellesley Hospital have all been included as “Leaders” on the Healthcare Equality Index 2016.
Boston Business Journal's Top Corporate Contributors
The Boston Business Journal named Partners HealthCare as one of the area's Top Corporate Charitable Contributors in 2015, 2014, and 2013. In order to qualify for this award, an organization must give at least $100,000 to local non-profits in the prior year.
Practice Greenhealth Environmental Excellence Awards
All Partners HealthCare hospitals won a 2014 Practice Greenhealth Environmental Excellence Award. These awards recognize recognize health care facilities, businesses, and organizations for their demonstrated commitment to environmental practices and sustainability. Partners has made sustainability a top priority and is one of the leaders in the health care sector in its commitment to reduce its environmental footprint.
Excellence in Supplier Diversity
Partners HealthCare received two supplier diversity awards in 2014:
- -- The 2014 Excellence Award for Supplier Diversity from VHA Inc. for commitment to supplier diversity through the economic development of minority, women, and veteran owned business enterprises in the local community.
-- The Earl G. Reubel Award, established by Owens & Minor to honor the late Earl G. Reubel, whose vision of building a legacy for his family through Kerma Medical Products, Inc., showed the true spirit of his entrepreneurial nature. Every year the award is presented to honorees for their commitment to diversity in the health care industry.
The Partners HealthCare Supplier diversity Program (SDP) was established in 2004 and is designed to enhance competition and expand the diversity of the supplier base, while supporting quality patient care, research, and education.
One of Fast Company's Top 10 Most Innovative Company in Health Care
Partners HealthCare has been designated as one of the World's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Health Care by Fast Company. Fast Company named Partners to its 2014 list of top innovative health care companies "for answering the call for urgently needed medical research," and specifically for investing into the field of personalized medicine.
The 2013 Theodore Roosevelt Workers' Compensation and Disability Management Award (Teddy Award) recognizes excellence in workers' compensation risk management in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors for their efforts to reduce the number and cost of injuries to workers. This national award was named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt, who in 1908 introduced the first piece of significant workers' compensation legislation in the United States.
Partners HealthCare won this award for being able to demonstrate advanced performance in meeting workers' comp challenges, and a sustainable, innovative program that is based on teamwork.
