Employee/Vendor Relationship Policies

Partners has adopted several policies that address the relationships between vendors and our employees and physicians.

The Partners Policy on Interactions with Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Companies is intended to establish system-wide ethical principles of conduct for Partners entities, employees, and medical staff members in their dealings with representatives from the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. The policy reflects many current laws and regulations that govern healthcare industry practices.

The Partners Policy on Consulting and Other Outside Activities establishes rules for acceptable outside activities for employees and medical staff associated with Partners HealthCare. This policy governs professional relationships, such as consulting, between these Partners individuals and outside entities who are current or potential Partners vendors.
